Wow guys...It's been such a long time since I was heard of..But not to worry...I'm back for good...With great stories to share...
So starting today, I want to share something I found about jealousy and how jealous a guy can be :)
According to Google, these are the definitions for the adjective jealous:
feeling or showing an envious resentment of someone or their achievements,possessions, or perceived advantages;
feeling or showing a resentful suspicion that one's partner is attracted to or involved with someone else;
fiercely protective of one's rights or possessions.
And this piece is mostly about the second definition. I noticed over a period that the jealousy of guys far exceeds that of ladies,,,imho...because stories I heard from friends both male and female attested to that fact.
I wonder why it's okay for guys to cheat and not okay for ladies to do same and I was shocked to hear from most guys that it's natural for guys to do that but so wrong for ladies with emphasis on SO,
So I asked some male friends of mine to give me a heads up on this issue and the inputs I gathered directly and indirectly has birthed this.
"Jealousy is a fruit which if nurtured has an ability that is unfathomable. It clouds your judgement so much so that every other person is wrong but you. As such, you can do the same wrong as your partner but will justify yours. A guy's jealousy often time is supernatural unless he's born again
Guys can get very jealous even to the extent of killing and this is backed by the various news items that we hear in the dailies and on the internet."
The most interesting information I obtained was one major cause is insecurity! And I so agree with that because why will a husband beat his wife for receiving a text message from her ex when he has a baby with his ex and has hidden such information from his wife for 6 years! This brings up the issue of the guys being friends with the ex but the ladies can't.
They will do everything to make sure the ladies are with them alone and no other person. Does this therefore mean ladies in relationships can't have male friends? This goes on to really show how insecure guys can be and thus get overly jealous. But that should not be the case because trust should be built.
Another interesting reason had to do with the ego of guys. This ego is so precious such that even in the wrong, they will never admit that the lady is right. It is a very important part of every guy and they all have limits. However, some guys know how to control their ego, they don't give in easily hence these don't act all 'crazy' about issues.
Then a secret pops up...and now that I'm sharing it here, it doesn't become a secret any longer :)
Any insecure man acting all so weird around his woman, suspecting her and all is doing the same thing. As such, they get scared their partners may be doing the same thing and thus get insecure. This however does not apply to all guys but most of them. So please ladies don't suspect all of them ;-)
Finally ladies, there's an advice from our darling males: "when a man does something wrong but is finding it very difficult to admit it because of his ego, what you do is accept and let it go,,, the thoughtful will come back and apologize. Women should have a lot of patience and they'll always win their misunderstandings with their men. Women should not rant during misunderstandings. Have a lot of patience and he will come back to apologize."
So that's what I found in my quest to find out why men get overly jealous.
